Geographical Introduction

About 75 km south of Chittagong Divisional Headquarters and about 80 km north of Cox's Bazar District Headquarters. Pekua Upazila covers an area of 139.6 sq km, located between 21ᵒ 54’ to 91ᵒ 53’  north latitude and 91ᵒ 53’ to 92ᵒ 02’ east longitude. Pekua Upazila was formed on 23 April 2002 with 7 unions of Chakaria Upazila.
